What is the process? (How can you get a puppy?)

 

If you have a puppy in mind, and it's available, please click on the Request Puppy Deposit Invoice box.  If you would like to be put on our list for a possible future puppy, please fill out the form on the bottom of this page and include information about what breed and sex you are interested in.

DEPOSIT:

​

In order to consider your puppy sold, a non-refundable deposit of $200 ($208.00 if using PayPal due to PayPal fee) is necessary.  I cannot "hold" a puppy without a deposit.  Know that if you are wanting to set up a time to visit to pick out a puppy, any potential puppies can become unavailable in the meantime if a deposit is put down by someone else first. I accept check, cash, PayPal or Venmo. You must let me know ahead of time which option for payment you would like to use, and I will email you an invoice with all of the correct information on it. (If using PayPal, there will be a 4% paypal fee added on.  Venmo now has the option for Purchase Protection when making purchases.  If you opt in to Purchase Protection, you MUST add in the 2% Venmo fee making the deposit amount $204.) Payments being made using Venmo or PayPal are due upon receipt of the invoice. If mailing a deposit, the deposit must arrive within 5 business days.  If the deposit doesn't arrive, and I do not hear from you after several attempts to contact you, the puppy will be once again available.  The remaining payment is due in CASH when you pick up your puppy, one week before pickup if sending a check or any time before pickup with PayPal.  Puppies must be AT LEAST 8 weeks old before they will be ready for their new homes.

PRICING:

All our puppies will be sold as PETS.  NO BREEDING RIGHTS unless you inquire about them. If you want BREEDING RIGHTS, the price will not be the same as PET price.

$850 (unless otherwise noted on each individual puppy).

 

COCKAPOO (Cocker Spaniel x Miniature Poodle)

$850 (unless otherwise noted on each individual puppy).

 

YORKIPOO (Miniature Poodle x Yorkshire Terrier) or (Yorkipoo x Miniature Poodle) or (Yorkipoo x  Yorkie)

$850 (unless otherwise noted on each individual puppy).

 

HAVAPOO (Havanese x Miniature Poodle)

$850 (unless otherwise noted on each individual puppy).

Can my puppy keep his/her tail?

​

Tails are docked at two days of age unless noted that they will be left intact.  In order for your puppy to have his/her tail left intact, the puppy will need to be paid for in full before tails are docked.  Purchase price of puppies with tails left intact is non-refundable if you change your mind on purchasing said puppy.

VISITING

 

Please do not expect to see the parents when visiting.  The females (just like any female) are protective over their young. They do not like strangers handling their puppies. For these reasons the parents are generally put away when people are visiting.  It is also very easy to unknowingly spread disease.  For the protection of all dogs/puppies, I prefer to keep contact to a minimum.  Puppies need to be 4 weeks old before they are allowed to have visitors. Visits are by appointment ONLY.  If you make an appointment and are running late or cannot make it, you will need to let me know ASAP.

PICKING UP MY PUPPY

​

You will be notified when your puppy is ready to be picked up.  Some puppies will be ready by the time they are 8 weeks old.  Some of the smaller breeds won't be ready until they are closer to 10 weeks old.  Puppies must be picked up within ONE WEEK from the time you are told they are ready to go. A time may be set up that works for both of our schedules unless other arrangements have been made.  If your puppy hasn't been picked up in the time-frame given, a $10/night boarding fee will be charged.

 

 

SHIPPING/DELIVERY

 

At this time, we do not ship or deliver puppies.  We can meet at the Sioux Falls, SD, airport if you decide to fly in and bring your puppy home with you on the plane.  Scheduling of flight and everything included is done by the buyer.

 

What will your puppy come with?

 

Each puppy comes with the following:

 

**Registration papers if applicable (See Current Puppies for more information on registration).  All our puppies will be sold as PETS ONLY WITH NO BREEDING RIGHTS unless you inquire about them. If you want BREEDING RIGHTS, there is an added fee on top of ORIGINAL price.

**Health Records - which will demonstrate current vaccinations and de-worming treatments.

 

**Veterinary Health Certificate.

 

**A sample of food. 

 

**A small piece of blanket material with mom and siblings smell.

What to expect from a new puppy

 

The transition from my home to yours will be a huge change for your puppy. Understand they are leaving everything they have ever known and are being taken to a strange place with new people, sights, etc. They are being taken away from their parents and siblings. Your puppy is now in a brand new environment and surrounded by people he/she does not know.  THIS IS A BIG CHANGE.  Give him/her time to adjust and spend plenty of time with him/her to help with the transition.  They will cry, they will have accidents, they are puppies! Understand this is all new to them! Don't get frustrated. The habits your puppy will learn is all due to how you help him or her learn. Be strict with your puppy. They like routine and they like being on a schedule. Try to feed/water and take the puppy out the same time everyday. This will help them understand a schedule. Socialization is very important to your puppy. Take them with you whenever possible. Let new people pet and play with them when out and about. Most of all, enjoy your puppy!
